Steve Porter had two main goals when he asked me to design this site. First, he wanted to have a place where his students could access class materials, other professors could get class ideas and people could go to find out more about what he does. Second, he wanted a website that was better than any of the other staff websites where he works.

He liked this design right away because it's easy to navigate, there is a place for all the content he wants and he does, indeed, like it better than the other staff websites. It will be easy for him to add information for his classes and other projects as he needs.
